We are seeking a talented individual to work for a leading independent manufacturer of specialist products. The company can offer bespoke chilled or frozen products which are supplied into the manufacturing, service and retail sectors.
Your role, as Health & Safety Manager, is to be responsible for the provision of high quality advice/guidance on company policy relating to health, safety & environmental matters.
You will coordinate the implementation and development of standards covering all health safety and environmental activities, ensure monitoring of processes, plant and procedures are carried out, review of the company occupational HSE policy in the light of any legislative or organisational changes and ensure the development of H&S systems, procedures and training.
You will possess solid H&S management experience, most preferably from within a food manufacturing environment, however this is not essential. You will be hands-on with good working knowledge of H&S documentation, risk assessment, safe working methods etc. You will also have effective written and verbal communications skills with the ability to ensure the highest standard of quality and health & safety are achieved.
The Health & Safety Manager job is based in the Home Counties / East Midlands region and is paying £25,000 - £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
