Quality Assurance Technologist
Established in 1928, my client are looking for a QA Technologist to join their team.
Operating across the Food, Drink and Pharmaceutical industries, this world renowned company offer a comprehensive service from the initial sourcing of the raw materials through to the delivery of the finished product.
This will predominately a factory floor based role where you will provide Technical Support to the site by providing solutions to technical issues, and ensuring daily compliance to Quality Management System, Customer Specification & COP, Legal Requirements, and Food Safety Standards. You will also investigate and provide solutions to any Technical KPI failures.
You will be a Team Leader for the HACCP team, planning scheduled meetings and preparing agendas. Regular review of the HACCP manual, systems and infrastructure. Conduct monthly traceability audits and implement corrective actions following product complaints.
Auditing duties will consist of glass, sharps, GMP and any other systems related audits along with having a knowledge of ISO, BRC, Organic, Halal & Kosher audits. Carry out review of procedures to ensure compliance with current or future standards.
You will follow all Health & Safety requirements across site at all times. Follow all procedures to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. Complete all records in line with site standards. Highlight any potential issues that pose a risk to Food Safety or product quality to line manager. Be prepared if required to talk to auditors, answering any auditor questions to the best of your ability.
Ideal candidates will have the following skills/experience:
- Food science degree desirable
- Food industry experience (Technical/Raw Material/NPD/regulatory knowledge)
- Computer literate (good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications)
- Organisational and planning skills
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Demonstrable problem-solving ability
