Previously Buxted Chickens, Flixton poultry site has been in production now for over 40 years and is based in rural Suffolk on a disused WW2 airfield. Flixton is a slaughter site currently processing up to one million birds a week. The site packs approximately 350,000 birds and cuts 180,000–300,000. Flixton has achieved ‘Model Ethical Factory’ status with Marks & Spencer and has been instrumental in working with the HSE in creating a factory standard in job rotation.
About the role:

Responsible for the engineering and maintenance repairs on site, you will ensure that all breakdowns are dealt with efficiently, working to planned / preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring engineering excellence
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work hands on in a fast paced production environment, providing you with the chance to enhance your current skills and progress through the business. Within the UK Poultry division, we have some great examples of progression and development in the ranks, the perfect demonstration being that our engineering management team started on the shop floor and now manage a team of up to 60 staff across this large production facility.
These are ideal roles for experienced hands on Engineers that thrive on diagnosing faults and identifying corrective actions.

- 17 edition electrical
