Line Manager (night shift)
Role: Line Manager (night shift – Saturday to Tuesday - 8.30pm to 6.30am).
Location: Solway Foods, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Line Manager to join the production facility at our successful Solway Foods in Worksop. This site produces a breath-taking 90 million sandwiches, wraps and roles per year for Tesco. The site has circa 1000 dedicated and specialist employees who take great pride in their involvement in producing some of the nation’s favourite sandwiches.
This opportunity will offer you the chance to build upon your current leadership knowledge within a fast paced state of the art food production facility. As Line Manager you will play a vital role in leading a team and ensuring production activities and targets are continuously met for that shift. You will relish been a hands on team player with strong leadership skills.
As a Line Manager you will report to a shift Operations Manager and your duties will include (but not limited to); Managing and leading a team or 15 that includes Operatives, Servicers, Labellers and Manufacturing Technicians. You will proactively ensure that day to day deadlines and targets are met in this high volume/high care production facility.
You will also be responsible for reporting on waste, downtime, overall line service, quality and production in this fast paced challenging environment. . You will be customer focused and understand the customers’ needs. You will strive to improve quality and service for internal and external stakeholders and thrive in a high pressure environment. You will demonstrate high levels of resilience – with a never give up approach.

- Proven and experienced Production Team Leader or Line Manager
- Experience of working within a chilled food production environment
- Experienced in HACCP, Health and Safety and Quality policies and procedures
- You will be a “go getter” and results driven

- Personable - outgoing and able to build trusting relationships with site colleagues and stakeholders.
