Role: Line Manager (Day Shift – Weds, Thurs, Fri and Sat 5.30am to 15.30).
Location: Solway Foods, Worksop, Nottinghamshire

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Line Manager the production facility at our successful Solway Foods in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. This opportunity will offer you the chance to build upon your current leadership knowledge within a fast paced state of the art food production facility. It will allow you to play an integral part in the continued develop of the site – ensuring production activities and targets are continuously met.
As a Line Manager you will report to a shift Operations Manager, you will relish been a hands on team player with strong leadership skills. Your day to day duties will include (but not limited to); Managing and coordinating a team of that includes Operatives, Servicers, Labellers and Manufacturing Technicians. You will proactively ensure that day to day deadlines and targets are met in this high volume production facility.
You will ensure Health & Safety procedures are been adhered to. You will manage the production team in the event of a breakdown – keeping downtime to an absolute minimum. You will reassign labour to a different production line to ensure continuity of output. You will also be responsible for reporting on waste, downtime, overall line service, quality and production.
You will be customer focused and understand the customers’ needs. You will strive to improve quality and service for internal and external stakeholders and thrive in a high pressure environment. You will demonstrate high levels of resilience – with a never give up approach.

You will be…
- Proven and experienced Line Manager or Line Manager
- Experience of working within a chilled food production environment
- Experienced in HACCP, Health and Safety and Quality policies and procedures
- You will be a “go getter” and results driven
- Strong personality
- Excellent communicator
- Calm – not panic in a crisis
- Personable - outgoing and able to build trusting relationships with site colleagues and stakeholders.
