About The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Manager or Controller that is looking for a high profile role, a role that will give you the chance to showcase your talent at the highest level and work with all of the UK's major retailers.
This is a divisional technical improvement position which will require the successful Technical Controller to travel across the UK to partner with our sites to deliver strategic development plans and ensure full delivery against any commitments made to 2nd and 3rd parties.
The Technical Controller will document and shared short, medium and long term KPI improvement activities, while supporting sites through the implementation of early warning systems including up to date gap analysis against audit standards and action planning/implementation to enable the delivery of audit ready standards.
The Technical Controller will work closely with retailer account managers to engage positively with all retailers on the common technical vision. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced food production Technical Manager who is looking to develop their career in a multi site Divisional Technical Improvement position.
You will ideally have food manufacturing experience, however a strong process background will also help you in an environment like this. You'll have experience as a strong project manager with an all round knowledge including quality, specifications and product trials.
Key Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- Strong internal / external stakeholder management
- Previous experience of working with retailers
- Must have worked in a similar Technical Managers role with the Food Manufacturing Sector
- Experience of retailer codes of practice (Audit process / criteria)
- Able to motivate others
- Ideally degree educated within Food Science & Technology (However experience will be considered if at the right level)
