There is a new opportunity for a Sales Support Coordinator to join the existing team. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the external sales team by managing briefs internally for both new and existing clients, organising quotations and samples and proactively building a data base of customers which can be used for sales and marketing activities.

Your day to day role will involve working closely with the National Accounts Manager to manage the requirements of customers, taking briefs from the external sales team and ensuring that agreed actions are communicated throughout the business. You will then ensure that progress is followed up and managed from initial concept through to completion, communicating with Planning, Production and Purchasing to confirm timings and progress in line with customer deadlines.

You will need to develop a detailed understanding and knowledge of the company's manufacturing process, its capacity and capabilities in order to be able to put together quotations for customers. By obtaining and updating forecast data for your customer base, you will be able to proactively prompt them for orders. You will proactively contact new customers and conduct research to determine where there is potential for new products and will establish product pricing, enhancing margins where possible.

In order to turn this opportunity into a reality you must:

  • Have previous experience working in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Have a clear and confident telephone manner and pay excellent attention to detail
  • Be a team player who is driven to succeed and has the ability to use initiative
  • Reside within a commutable distance of the office in Lancashire
