Our client require a Consumer Project Manager to join their growing team for the Sensory division. The business support leading brands and UK retailers across the Food and Beverages sector and opportunity will provide customer facing and interaction with the Senior Management board. 

 

Main Duties (including % of time spent)

  • Project manage the Benchmarking team and its activities from concept of project, coordination and evaluation of sampling sessions, through to data collection and communication of final results - 55%
  • Support existing business from major clients, and actively seek to grow and develop an additional volume of business from new clients – 10%
  • Prepare and approve client reports, detailing the evaluation of samples with specific attention to suggested improvements, comparison data and market positioning – 25%
  • Responsible for the continuous training and development of the Home Economists, Sensory Technicians and Administrative team - 10%
  • Assist in the organisation of seminars and conferences including the preparation and delivery of presentations at both internal and external events for food industry clients, including bespoke training courses on Product Benchmarking on and off site
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the quality and trace-ability systems within the Benchmarking section
  • Converse with new and existing clients verbally on a regular basis to understand their specific needs and requirements
  • Deliver quarterly reviews with key contractual client in which data is analysed and performance reviewed
  • Write, check and approve final client’s reports, for the section, ensuring that they are accurate, correct and delivered within the given timescale
  • Deliver formal training sessions and courses both on and off site, as well as formal presentations on current market trends and new products
  • Give instruction and co-ordinate the benchmarking team on a daily basis
  • Notify Manager of any non- conforming work and communication from client indicating dissatisfaction with work in any way
