This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to gain wide and varied experience in a manufacturing environment or you may already have experience working in the industry and looking to progress in your career.
As Technical & Quality Assistant, the main purpose of your role is to assist in maintaining the site technical and quality systems.
You will maintain raw material & packaging acceptance and monitoring systems, assess raw materials and product formulations for approval, ensure compliance with company policies and standards and with UK, EU and international standards where applicable, monitor factory activities and ensure compliance, investigate and respond to customer complaints, conduct internal audits, assist with supplier approval systems and also maintain the traceability system and records.
You will ideally have a degree in a chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or microbiology discipline or possess previous technical experience within the vitamin, supplement or food manufacturing sector. You will preferably be familiar with product specifications and be able to investigate non-conformances/customer complaints. You will also have a strong interest in nutrition, be able to collate and trend data plus be IT literate.
The Technical & Quality Assistant job is based in the South East region and is paying £18,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.00pm.
