As a Technical Services Manager here you certainly won't be bored. There is a huge array of raw materials and ingredients involved in the manufacturing of these products, from worldwide sources, so the supplier base is vast! You will lead the way in provenance and quality and may even have to travel to audit these customer sites. You will look at putting improved processes in place, with support of the Technical Director and will update and rewrite systems to ensure improved allergen control, and the highest technical standards and you will encourage a culture of pro-active quality assurance and control within your teams. - Manage, coach, train and lead a team of six across the laboratory and supplier assurance
- Manage Raw Material goods in and QC inspection teams
- Ensure right first time and compliance to all legislation and specifications
- Updating of Quality systems and procedures
- HACCP, Allergen Control, Specifications approval
- Full responsibility for the approved supplier list of raw materials companies (including packaging)
- Some UK and abroad supplier auditing
- Ensure compliance to all accreditation schemes e.g. Organic
This role will see you working with an engaging and personable manager, with a proven track record of driving technical excellence and keen to push this forward within the business. The role will allow you to work cross functionally with suppliers and internal teams and really immerse yourself into the business.
