Job Title: Supplier Quality Technologist
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
Place of work: Nutriblend House, Mills Road, Priory Park, Aylesford, ME20 7PP
Reporting To: Assistant Quality Manager

Aylesford site is a key supplier of vitamin and mineral premixes into the food industry in Europe and worldwide. Our customers are major food manufacturers with high quality expectations, which are directly translated in our quality systems and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate different phases of the approval process for Food Premix Business including documentation, RM assessments, organizing external testing, risk assessments, audit recommendations and approval
  • Create purchasing specification for new RM & update existing ones where appropriate
  • Coordinate RM analytical monitoring and Supplier monitoring audits with the Quality Department
  • Collection, review and filing of documentation from suppliers during approval process
  • Coordinate RM annual monitoring and compile summary reports for audits and customer requests
  • Testing of new RM under evaluation for approvals
  • Manage customers notifications & approval process with customers
  • Perform annual risk assessment for RM and suppliers
  • Perform annual HACCP risk assessment on RM and suppliers
  • Lead Kosher and Halal certification for the UK site
  • Support Continuous Improvement program initiatives
  • Complete customer questionnaires for matters related to RM


  • Great understanding of Quality requirements and standard in the food industry (ISO, HACCP, BRC, GFSi etc.)
  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Agronomy or Science related field is desirable but experience is also very much valued.
  • 1-2 years experience within a Quality, Technical of R&D role in the Food Industry would be desirable but not essential
  • Great attention to detail and focus on Quality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Very organised and methodical, ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks
  • Great project management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, fast learner, willing to take initiative
  • Resilient and confident to interact with senior members of the management team
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Especially proficient in Excel.
  • Team player with great communication skills
  • Assertive and confident
