National Account Manager – Wholesale
Up to £50,000 + car allowance + benefits
As a highly successful, growing supplier of continental food products, my client have gone from strength to strength since they were established c. 10 years ago. Importing products from Italy, Spain, Greece and Turkey, with a million to offer quality, innovative and affordable products to the UK market. The large selection of products including fine cheese, antipasti, cooking wines and sauces are sold under both brand and private label, predominantly into the wholesale channel with an aim of developing the End User area in the next year.
Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for growing and developing the Wholesale channel from the large, well known customers to the smaller, regional wholesalers. You will be identifying business potential and developing professional relationships with clients through personal visits. Time split between new business and account management activities will be approximately 80% new business and 20% existing business. You will have responsibility for 2 Sales Executives and should you be successful in the role, there is lots of opportunity to progress and develop your career.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, it is essential you have a proven track record of delivering growth within the wholesale channel. Food experience is essential, and you must have a passion for the category in which you will be operating. You must possess the ability to influence at a senior level, while being able to work on your own and in a small team.
