Our local food manufacturing client is looking for a Technical Manager to join their operation in Doncaster. The main responsibility for this position is to ensure ongoing technical compliance with all food safety, legislative and customer requirements.

The Job

Working 42 hours a week Monday – Friday (day flexi hours), your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the work of the QA onsite
  • Coaching staff on HACCP
  • Ensuring all quality management systems are followed
  • Producing reports
  • Liaising with customers on complaints and technical queries
  • Approving and monitoring suppliers, carrying out assessments and audits as required
  • Responsibility for the specifications of raw materials, finished goods and customer specifications, reviewing on a regular basis
  • Document control of the QS

The Candidate

We are looking for candidates with the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Strong food hygiene, micro and technical skills (minimum HND level or equivalent in Food Science)
  • HAACP Level 3
  • Food safety level 3 as a minimum
  • Team leaderships skills
  • Understanding of production processes
  • Strong mathematical reasoning skills, able to create and interpret charts and data

This position is to start immediately on a temp to perm/contract to perm basis.
