Passion for food? Have a commercial hat to compliment your creative skills?
Our client is a food ingredients company that is undergoing huge expansion. With an international presence and already selling into the majority of the UK’s top food and beverage manufacturers, the company is looking to strengthen its presence even further, with the appointment of a Business Development Chef.
This is a predominantly field-based position in which you will work closely with your customers’ NPD teams to demonstrate your creative flair – you will use the ingredients in your extensive portfolio to showcase the type of finished products that can be created by using the offerings at your disposal. The key to this is being able to create products that taste fantastic, but that are also presented to look out of this world. Applications vary, but desserts are especially important. You’ll need a commercial head on your shoulders too, as you’ll be responsible for managing the costings and ultimately selling the ingredients to your customers, once the demonstrations have been done and their mouths are watering!
We are looking for a Development Chef who can display a couple of years’ experience in the food industry – and B2B experience would be beneficial. You must be able to work with a variety of foods, but experience in desserts is essential. We will look for evidence of commercial skills, and the ability to travel the length and breadth of the country is necessary, with occasional nights spent away from home. The company’s on site Development Kitchen is based in West Yorkshire, so we are looking for candidates around this region as you will use this facility regularly when not with customers. Your own vehicle will be required, along with a clean driving license.
Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to the high volumes we receive. If you’ve not heard from us within two weeks, unfortunately on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.
