We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our Technical Team at The Good Food Company. This role gives you chance to join an award winning company and to further develop your career in the food industry.

You will be responsible for assuring the food safety and quality of all products through effective implementation of company quality assurance policies, product specifications and day to day operation of HACCP.

Responsibilities:

To operate and champion Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) in factory.

To ensure that all products and raw materials can be traced throughout the production process.

To ensure that all the required control documents are in place for new product launches and to be in attendance at trial, pre-production runs.

At the request of the Technical Manager to investigate complaints and report findings.

To manage the daily safety and quality of products and report any defects to the production management for improvement.

Liaise with the Technical Manager when changes are required in controlled documents.

To collate samples to be sent for micro testing and monitor product shelf life and quality of all products.

To develop a good understanding of all manufacturing processes.

To collate all shift paperwork and check for completion, report to relevant managers any non-conformances and monitor actions.

Investigate, complete reports, implement corrective action and to ensure all HACCP, CCP’s are monitored and under control

To attend technical meetings and take necessary actions to improve performance of the department.

To undertake any other reasonable task requested by the Technical Manager.

To be familiar with and comply with the company’s policy on Health, Safety and Welfare (as set out in the general memorandum Health and Safety at Work Act 1974). To bring to the attention of senior staff and health and safety requirements which become obvious. In the event of any immediate danger, to take the appropriate action to reduce risk to physical danger to either visitors or staff.

Required education:

Diploma/Certificate in food manufacturing or other discipline preferred 

Required experience:

Food/ Chemical or Manufacturing Experience: 1 year
