Location:West Yorkshire
Salary:£20 - £25k
Industry:Food Manufacturing - Chilled Meat
Our client has a new and exciting vacancy for a Specification Technologist to join their team at their West Yorkshire location. Our client are well established with a turnover of circa £300m per annum, they Slice and pack cooked meats so experience of working within this environment would be beneficial.
This role will focus on the accurate and timely completion of customer product specifications and artwork approvals, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring compliancy with both the Customer's policies and wider UK and EU regulations.

This will include working closely with other departments to ensure all relevant information is acquires. The ideal Candidate will therefore have excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.

Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

*Writing and maintaining customer product specifications
*Reviewing and approving artwork
*Liaising with suppliers to maintain raw material specifications
*Working cross functionally with other departments
*Keeping up-to date on EU, UK and customer policies with regards to food law
*Assisting with ad-hic duties within the technical department

Key Attributes should include:

*Accuracy and Meticulous attention to detail
*Excellent Planning and Organisation skills
*The ability to work successfully as part of a team
*The ability to remain calm under pressure and to work to deadlines.

Desirable skills / experience:

*Relevant degree in a food or related subject
*Understanding of legal labelling regulations
*Experience using product specifications and artwork systems.
