The Organisation

We are a private family owned, Yorkshire business with our ‘roots’ firmly in the fresh produce trade. Our organisation is fast-paced, exciting, dynamic and due to rapid successful growth our organisation is seeking a new exciting addition to the Production Team, based at our Salads Processing Site in Hunslet.

The Team

The Production Team are the biggest team on site. They are the epicentre to our operations.  They are a hard working and friendly team. They are have a knack for ensuring products are on site, put into the right ‘fast lane’ for production processing and packing products to our customers.

The Role

In this role you’ll ensure team work is key when producing the best products for our customers. You will have experience in the foods industry, preferably in working with fresh food or processing. You will ideally have been a Team Leader or Production Supervisor previously.

You will ensure your team are trained sufficiently to the business requirements, manage health and safety to a high standard and ensure food safety policies and procedures are adhered to. You will ensure paperwork is completed and handed in at the end of each Production shift. You will also be responsible for reporting issues to the Engineering team in a timely manner to minimise disruption to Production schedules. You will work as a part of production team that ensure products are disseminated to customers in timely manner.An organised and driven leader who adheres to procedure and strives to get the most from least resource within the quality, safety and service requirements of the business.

You will monitor the quality of the produce you produce during your shift where only the best products are loaded for our customers, in line with their specifications. You will actively take part in management meetings and be an example for best practice and behaviour for lower graded positions to look up to. Your role will involve spotting talent from the shop floor and ensure these people are developed for the future of our business.

You will ideally have High Care & Low Care experience and Retail Experience, but this is not essential, as training will be provided. There is plenty of opportunity and scope to develop and move into other roles within the business.

Hours of Work

This would be working Tuesday- Saturday, although element of flexibility is required to cover all shifts when needed.

Days / Shift Details

Start time my vary between 06:00 am- 08:00 am

Pay Details

£8.40 per hour dependent on experience.

Hourly weekly paid.

Half hour for lunch unpaid. Two 15 minute breaks paid.

Contract Information

28 days holiday ( including bank holidays)

1% pension after 3 months.

6 month probationary period

Contracts are an average of 40 hours per week over 52 weeks.
