Many have a real passion for food. Few can compliment this with the potential, drive and ability to produce it. For those people, Bakkavor offers the perfect graduate training programme, all as part of our career-defining Accelerated Management Scheme.

Who is Bakkavor?

Bakkavor is the leading provider of fresh prepared foods in the United Kingdom, with a fast-developing international presence in the United States and China. In total, we have 19,000 employees worldwide.

In the UK, we are number one across all four categories within fresh prepared foods, Meals, Salads, Desserts and Pizza & Bread.

Our customers include some of the UK’s best known grocery retailers such as Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda, Morrisons, Co-op and Aldi who sell our products to consumers under their respective retailer brands.

Our operations in the US and China supply fresh prepared food to both retail and foodservice customers.

Our Product Development Programme

Join us and you’ll influence what the nation will be eating in the months and years ahead. Working both independently and as part of a team, you’ll develop new and innovative products – by mixing, matching and evolving flavours across new food trends. You’ll by trained and supported by experienced and talented chefs, who’ll give you the freedom to flourish while challenging your ideas. And we’ll help you to gain an all-round understanding of manufacturing, from start to finish.

What you’ll need

We’ll expect you to have a high standard of practical kitchen skills and a knowledge of food trends. But you’ll also need the awareness to come up with ideas that are as commercially viable as they are exciting. To do this takes tenacity and a real desire to make progress. You should have recently completed a food related degree achieving a minimum 2:2  and have at least 3 months experience working in a food manufacturing, food and beverage or professional services environment.

What we offer

As well as a salary of £24,500, you’ll receive an additional £1000 payment when you start, and your salary is reviewed after completing your first year with us. We’ll also cover the costs for 2 weeks B&B or rent, plus reasonable removal costs. Our sites are located throughout the UK and your placements could take you from the south of England to Scotland. There may even be the chance to work in one of our international sites. So you’ll need to show great flexibility.
