£40,000K to £60,000K pa  (dependant on experience) + 50% Bonus, £5K Car Allowance, Private Healthcare & Pension.

The Company:

They design, manufacture and supply a range of machinery for high volume food production.

The Role:

Reporting the Group Sales Manager, the appointed Sales Manager will concentrate on large capital machinery ranging in value from £500K to £3M. Because of the value and size of equipment, it can take 6-12 months before a sales order is placed, so the Sales Manager will need to develop trusted relationships with key players in the Food Manufacturing industry and keep in regular contact with them throughout the process.

The Sales Manager will conduct pre-quote factory appraisals to fully understand the client’s requirements and work with engineering design and project teams to offer bespoke machinery solutions that will meet the customer’s specific applications.

The Sales Manager will develop and execute a sales plans to achieve profitable growth, proactively promote the companies wider range of products, conduct contract negotiations, prepare quotations and ensure the customer receives exceptional after sales support. There will also be a requirement to understand market trends and conduct competitor analysis.

The focus of this role is to manage sales development within a specific sector of the food manufacturing industry rather than managing a team of people, however, the company can offer fantastic opportunities for future career progression.

The Person:

We are seeking applications from Technical Sales Managers with a proven track record of selling capital machinery to the Food & Drink Industry. If successful you will spend up to 40% of your time visiting clients, so you should be flexible to work away from home for periods of 1-2 weeks.
