As Technical & Quality Assistant, the main purpose of your role is to ensure that the business fully complies with all customer codes of practice and legal requirements that relate to the manufacture of food.
You will develop and deliver effective systems and processes to monitor, highlight and improve product quality and food safety standards plus proactively identify opportunities to deliver solutions for continuous improvement & best practice across site.
Ideally educated to a HND/degree level in a food science/technology discipline, you will possess at least 1 year technical / quality food industry experience. A background of working with meat or similar product is essential. You will be confident and familiar with HACCP principles, have a good knowledge of QMS and implementation of new systems and be computer literate. To succeed, you will be positive, organised, highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
The Technical & Quality Assistant job is based in the West / East Midlands region and is paying £20,000 - £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including pension, free breakfast, staff discount and qualifiable bonuses. The core working hours will be days, 7.30am – 4pm, however flexibility may be required during peak times.
