You will be working for an independent and reputable manufacturer of premium, quality products. The key focus of the business is to supply their customers with excellent service at competitive prices.
This is a unique opportunity to take direction of a successful and profitable food manufacturer as if your own. You will essentially be running the business alongside the Production Director to ensure the company retains its reputation for innovative, niche products with a highly reputable service level.
The company is seeking an accomplished salesperson with all round knowledge of the food production environment. Your prime role is to seek new opportunities and distribution routes for existing product lines. In addition, you will be a key influence in determining the direction of the business including new product lines, recommending product pricing and promotional activity as well as extending the distribution channels for our products.
You will be a positive, confident, experienced salesperson with a strong account handling track record within the foodservice and catering market with considerable knowledge of and good contacts in the restaurant, casual dining, fast casual dining and food distribution sectors. The individual needs to either be a graduate or have a proven education and strong literacy capability. A positive approach to financial awareness with a strong level of numeracy is essential as margins, gross profitability and break-even analysis will be part of the KPI targets set. A full UK valid driving licence is also essential.
The Commercial Sales Manager job is based in the London / South East region and is paying a starting salary of £40,000 - £55,000 plus up to 25% business performance related bonus. The remuneration package also has a view to increase as you develop both new and existing business.
