This is an exciting opportunity to join a large chilled food group who supply own branded products into all the major retailers. Reporting to the NPD Manager, your job purpose is to innovate new products and processes to maintain and extend current ranges ensuring delivery of the project concepts in a timely manner. Inspiring others through food, industry and consumer knowledge.
You will manage, motivate and inspire direct reports to achieve personal development and continual improvement, manage focused development of new products to deliver the budgeted margin for specific product ranges, deliver development ahead of competitors through understanding the wants and needs of both internal and external customers, manage critical paths for specific product ranges, plan, organise & control resources to deliver NPD concepts to an agreed quality and timescale, monitor and benchmark product quality, plan and execute regular factory team meetings to evaluate project delivery within key critical path deadlines and actively drive and attend regular site taste panels to ensure a level of quality and culinary expertise.
We are looking for an efficient, organised and experienced who can demonstrate a solid NPD track record from within food manufacturing (5 years plus) with experience in chilled products. You will also be educated to a degree level within a food science discipline. You will have an excellent understanding of concept to launch process, have a creative flair and be highly passionate.
The Product Manager job is based in the Lincolnshire / East Anglia region and is paying £30,000 with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
