This role is working at a purpose built BRC accredited factory for a specialist supplier of high quality products. Established for over 50 years, the business has undergone great success and now supply products to long established retailers, wholesalers, government departments and food processors.
Your role as Quality Assurance Manager is to be responsible for product safety, quality and legality for all products produced within the company and also to provide assistance with maintenance of food safety system.
You will carry out internal audits to a pre-determined schedule, handle and respond to customer complaints to include trending and reporting, carry out non-conformance reporting, incident reporting and corrective actions arising from daily production issues, oversee calibration of temperature control and weighing equipment on site, respond to customer queries and enquiries relating to quality aspects, carry out assistance with training out of quality procedures, completion of GMP audits, involvement in and support of the environmental management system and the Health and Safety system and to be a member of the HACCP team and ensure that HACCP reviews are carried out in a timely manner.
You will ideally be educated to a degree level with a food related discipline and possess strong experience from a similar technical/QA position preferably within chilled/high risk food manufacturing such as meat or poultry. You will also have an in depth knowledge of BRC V7 standards, be a qualified Auditor, be trained to HACCP Level 3 and be able to work positively in conjunction with the production teams.
The Quality Assurance Manager job is based in the North West region and is paying c. £26,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
