This role involves working for a well-established and leading supplier of ambient products. The business has a wealth of experience in sourcing, manufacturing using high performance machinery and efficient distribution.
Your role as Shift Engineer will be to provide effective and efficient engineering support to the business by carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance to all plant, equipment, services and buildings as required including fault finding and repairs.
You will minimise down time and increase uptime availability through delivering a responsive breakdown response and planned preventative management, working collaboratively with production and other functions to identify failings (5 Why and other lean techniques) and putting in place rectification plans to eliminate these for the future.
We are seeking a proactive individual with an engineering background in either mechanical, electrical or chemical plus previous hands on knowledge of working in a food manufacturing environment. You will have GSECE Maths & English grade A-C and possess formal engineering qualifications e.g. HND/HNC or a time served apprenticeship equivalent. Auto-Cad software experience and 17th Edition Electrical Wiring qualification are both highly desirable.
The Shift Engineer job is based in the East Midlands / Home Counties region and is paying c. £30,000 depending on individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm.
