· Minimum FDQ Level 3 Food Safety

· Minimum Level 3 HACCP

· Experience of working in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment

· Experience of auditing processes including both as an auditor or auditee

· Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel to an intermediate level


To have good management skills

Good working knowledge of government health and safety requirements

Be able to establish rapport with customers and suppliers

Experience in training staff at all levels of a business would be an advantage

Knowledge and use of ACSS and SAGE systems

Formal auditor training

To be computer literature

Knowledge of fish species, seasonality and sustainability

To be methodical, have good communication and time management skills

To work in harmony with other team members

Ensuring all site due diligence records (temperatures, cleaning, knife checks, traceability) are kept up to date and readily available at all times

To update working procedures and forms as required

Communicating changes in food safety legislation to all members of the management team

Communicating changes in and requirements from health and safety legislation

Working closely with the general manager on various projects throughout site

To ensure that all staff are trained to the level that their job requires

Auditing of suppliers and ensuring that they comply with Flying Fish requirements

Ensuring that the site is compliant with all health and safety regulations
