We are a private family owned, Yorkshire business with our ‘roots’ firmly in the fresh produce trade. Our organisation is fast-paced, exciting, dynamic and due to rapid successful growth our organisation is seeking a new exciting addition to the Warehouse and Distribution Team, based at our Salads Manufacturing site in Hunslet.

The Team

The Warehousing Team are a small, but vital feature to our expanding business. They are a diligent, hard working and friendly team. They are have an knack for getting ingredients into the building ready for production, and a knack for getting our products out of the building ready for delivery to out customers – pronto!

The Role

Main purpose of the role would be work as a part of small team to support expanding function of the site.  Your duties will vary depending on the requirements but no matter what you do all our staff play integral role in upholding high standards of quality.  This is really complex role, where the ability to multitask is the key. Some of the responsibilities will be basic and include ensuring materials are selected in line with set requirements and distributed correctly. However you will be also required to reconcile stock on the system and issuing variance reports to Management, as well as integrate delivery notes with purchase orders and complete traceability documents. You will have a fine eye for detail that allow you to precisely input inbound goods onto in-house system. You must have a FLT licence to be able to operate it when required.

Through applying your accurate data inputting skills and super-human analytics, you’ll effectively complete your Goods In/ Goods out duties by being efficient and effective to assist the business in achieving high food quality and safety standards.  

You will report into the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager, but will be mostly on your own at the Distribution Centre to oversee the running of goods in.

Required Qualification

Counter Balance or Reach Truck Licence

3 years FLT and warehouse experience

Hours of Work

Normal start is 06:00 am but start times will vary through the Summer and Winter as we go in and out of peak seasons. Overtime required in peak seasons.

Would have to be flexible with covering holidays / night shift  etc.

Days / Shift Details

5 out of 7 including weekends on rotational basis.

Pay Details

£8.00-£8.25  per hour

Hourly weekly paid.

Half hour for lunch unpaid. Two 15 minute breaks paid.

Contract Information

28 days holiday per year including bank holidays.

1% pension after 3 months.

6 month probationary period
