Job Title: Section Leader

Location: Sutton Bridge, Spalding

Salary: £Competitive

Reporting to: Section Manager

Working Hours: Shift basis, days 6:00am to 14:00pm in Cerberus. 5/7 predominately Mon – Fri.

About the Role

As a Section Leader you will encourage a safe working environment for all employees in their area by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Group Health and Safety policy. Whilst ensuring that operatives are coached and trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety, food safety standards and quality procedures.

Responsible for ensuring the team are performing to quality standards in terms of GMP, food safety, product quality and presentation and housekeeping. Manage improvement activities including KPI’s, waste management, and production control processes and associated administration and record keeping.

Accountable for ensuring the team are correctly deployed and are performing to standards and in adherence to the plan. Managing breaks and the shift changeover process to ensure it does not disrupt productivity and workflow.

Participate in the NPD processes and production trials where required to ensure that they run successfully. Ensuring that all relevant equipment and materials as directed are ready for the trials.

About You:

You must be adaptable and flexible to working hours, area of work, able to work under pressure and be willing to work in a factory environment.

Previous experience within food manufacturing, excellent communication skills (verbal and Written) and able to direct and coach a team of people.

Understand the minimum standards of Safety, Health and the Environment and be comfortable auditing Health, Safety and hygiene standards of the section area.
