What would I be responsible for?

The Hygiene Manager would be responsible for managing a team of hygiene staff to undertake routine cleaning duties in a food safety critical plant, and to oversee all plant and environmental cleaning in high care production areas in accordance with documented cleaning schedules to ensure a consistently high standard of hygiene.

You will lead and manage a large team of operatives, Shift Leaders and Supervisors, to carry out in shift cleaning and deep cleaning in a food manufacturing environment reporting into the Site Technical Manager. This will include line changeover cleaning operations and machinery strip down to ensure sanitisation ready for the start of the day.

You will have previously worked in a chilled food manufacturing environment in a “high risk” / high care area.

What do I need to do this role?

  • You will require experience working in a high risk / high care, hygiene role within the food industry, ideally with ready meals.
  • Experience of Listeria Management will be an advantage.
    You must be computer literate and have previous team management skills. Must have proven experience within a food manufacturing company as a Hygiene Manager / Hygiene Supervisor.
  • Ideally candidates will have worked to BRC accreditation standards
  • You will be required to work day and night shifts with flexibility.
