R&D Process Technologist - 12 month FTC
This is a great opportunity to join a branded global food and drinks business renowned for pushing boundaries with their innovative product ranges. Market leaders with their on trend offerings, they are now looking for an experienced and accomplished R&D Process Technologist to lead a high profile project to launch a new range of products for their discerning consumers.
This is an exciting and challenging new project where you’ll be an integral part of the R&D team, reporting to the Senior Innovations Manager. With responsibility for planning and executing this exciting project, you will be key to the success of the smooth scale up and launch of some first to market products.
You’ll work with a range of manufacturing partners to translate product concepts into commercially viable products, alongside a variety of suppliers to ensure consistency of ingredients and the final products; this will include product trials, production specifications, shelf-life testing and validation. Developing influential relationships, learning about new processes and engaging with your supply base is essential to the success of this project and the delivery of exceptional products for your consumers.
Would suit an experienced R&D or Process Development Technologist / Manager with a food science or technology degree who has proven success within the food and beverage industry in a similar role. Experience must include the scale-up and launch of complex products within a manufacturing environment as well as knowledge of product development, process and commercialisation. Project management, relationship building and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver the project on time.
The role involves working closely with a European supply base so there will be the need to travel regularly, and also fluency in Italian would be desirable.
