With a turnover of over £2.6bn, Brakes Group is a leading supplier to the foodservice industry in the UK, Ireland, France and Sweden. The group comprises a family of specialist businesses which are able to deliver everything the caterer needs, including their very successful own brand ranges developed specifically for chefs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Key Account New Business Managers (Hunters) within the Independent South Division, reporting into the Business Development Director. The areas covered are Central London and the North West of the Division, approximately in the M4 and M40 corridors, although location is flexible.
The purpose of the roles is to win new customers within the exciting and dynamic Key Account business in the South region and achieve and exceed the Key Account New Business budget requirements. Key Accounts is the growth engine for the Independent business and we have a fantastic opportunity to further build on and develop our recent successful track record even further in 2017 and beyond.
The key accountabilities and responsibilities of this role are:

- To win Key Account new business via active prospecting and by managing a pipeline of prospect opportunities in the region.
- To build relationships with prospect customers on your pipeline so that they see Brakes as their next supplier and approach you when looking to review suppliers.
- Achieve and exceed sales and margin targets in line with the Key Account New Business budget.
- To work with the new business implementation team to launch new business wins.
- To be a proactive member of the Key Account team by assisting development of business goals, objectives and strategic initiatives.
- To liaise fully with all members of the Key Account and company departments in the development of key customer contacts and business development.

Key skills will include:

- A minimum of 3 years experience in a new business development or key account role, with a successful track record in winning new business.
- Superb customer relationship and rapport-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
- High level of negotiation skills
- Good commercial acumen and knowledge of the key profit levers
- Results driven
- Good knowledge of the Brakes business
