The job

The key responsibilities of the QA Manager are to own the quality agenda ensuring fantastic products are made consistently and to drive exceptionally high standards of food safety and hygiene procedures to ensure compliance with HACCP/BRC principles. Managing a talented QA team of 5, you will promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the business and also formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the quality agenda.

Your experience

Ideally educated to a HND/degree level in a food science subject, you will have a solid quality assurance track record from within food manufacturing. You will have a good working knowledge of BRC requirements and previous experience of supplier compliance audits and thorough understanding of GMP, HACCP. Demonstrable experience of working with the top four retailers would be highly beneficial. Other desirable qualifications include Intermediate Food Hygiene, HACCP and Internal Auditor.

The QA Manager role is based in the West Midlands region and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
