A newly created role to join an established Technical Team to support the Technical/QA function on the site

The Person:

  • Good level of computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work within a team as well as independently
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience in carrying out Technical audits
  • Specialist qualifications relevant to the role or equivalent vocational experience
  • Knowledge of GMP, practical application of HACCP, process and product standards, raw material and product specifications



Key Duties:

  • Assisting in the completion of internal audits
  • Monitoring product safety, legality and quality issues and ensuring high standards are met through the correct implementation of the company’s Quality Management Systems
  • Assisting in the management of technical services
  • Monitoring, updating and investigating customer complaints
  • Supporting customer visits and third party audits
  • Maintenance of site GMP standards, quality and food safety systems
  • Liaising with production and engineering on quality related issues
  • Providing GMP training of production staff when required
