We are currently recruiting for a Zone Manager to join our team here at Greencore. As Zone Manager you'll lead a team, and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operation for a designated shift, ensuring that products are manufactured to the agreed production plan and standard.
Looking after the shift means communication is key, so you'll ensure that strong links are maintained within the operations team at all times to ensure any immediate issues are resolved and trends are shared within the broader community.

What you'll be doing
As Zone Manager you will lead, co-ordinate and prioritise activity across the shift to ensure that the shift is producing goods in line with the agreed production plan. It is essential to ensure that all teams on shift adherence to all food manufacturing safety and quality standards at all times, safeguarding the delivery of great tasting, high quality food products.
You'll always be focused on continuous improvement, reviewing operational trends across the shift to identify and act upon opportunities that make sustainable improvements in quality, performance and profit.
You will be required to forecast and control labour requirements, direct and indirect, to meet production programme requirements and customer expectations within budget. Within any of our production areas, a safe working environment is essential at all times, so as Shift Manager, you'll lead the ongoing development of the SHE culture, promoting adherence to procedures within your team.
What you'll need
With a good standard of education with strong literacy and numerical skills. You'll have an inquisitive and analytical nature with the ability to pull actionable insight from data.
Prior experience of leading a team and resource planning in a people intensive, manufacturing environment is essential.
You will have an advanced food hygiene accreditation with HACCP level 3. Certification in either yellow or green belt six sigma and IOSH level 3, would also be extremely useful.
