Part of a large specialist food group, this market leading business has been established for over 40 years and is dedicated to producing and supplying high quality and unique products to nearly every UK major retailer.

The job

The QA Inspector role is responsible for ensuring that product is of sufficient quality throughout the process within the site – from raw product at goods inward, in stores, in production and then at point of despatch, making accurate assessments of product and decisions on whether it is necessary to re-sort the product, reject or ripen where appropriate. You will communicate quality issues to line management and ensuring that the product sent to the customer complies with the required specification. You will also ensure technical equipment is checked and re-calibrated where necessary and check details of label information to ensure compliance.

Your experience

You will be a hardworking and dedicated individual who either has some quality assurance experience in a food environment OR you will be a holder of a HND/degree in a food technology related discipline looking for your first role in the industry – any experience of working with fresh produce is highly desirable. You will be highly organised and possess good IT skills in Excel and Word, also due to the site location, a full UK valid driving licence is required.

The QA Inspector job is based in the South East region and is paying £18,469. The weekly shift pattern will consist of 5 days on, 2 days off, 42.5 hours per week.

There are two positions available, one is a permanent role and the other is a fixed term 12 month contract.
