A position has arisen for a Food Technologist working for a dynamic food business which manufactures innovative, high end products. They work with their customers to develop an innovative, great tasting food product range and have a great reputation for supply of retailer brand and work very closely with leading retail multiples and food manufacturers.
When it comes to product safety and stability, the company depend on the dedication and knowledge of their Food Technologists and talented Technical team. They have an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented and driven Food Technologist, who is meticulous and eager to make food special.
You will report into the Technical Manager and work with a select number of retailer and B2B accounts, ensuring product specifications and relevant technical documentation including QAS are created and updated. Working with other departments to make sure critical paths are adhered to, you will ensure analysis such as nutritional and shelf life testing is complete and meets specifications, complaints are investigated, root cause analysis completed and artwork is approved in line with legislation.
To be considered for the Food Technologist, you will have at least 2-3 years experience in a related technical role in the food manufacturing industry. You will be able to demonstrate a strong technical understanding from concept to launch, have experience with complaint handling and root cause analysis plus a good working knowledge of retailer specification systems. To succeed, you will be methodical, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
The Food Technologist job is based in the Home Counties / South Central region and is paying up to £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including discretionary bonus, life assurance, childcare vouchers, pension scheme, access to healthcare cash plan and 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing with years of service.
