Packaging Development Manager
This is an excellent chance to join a prominent international food manufacturer producing innovative chilled products across a vast range of prestigious customers. Highly ambitious and passionate about good food, they are now looking for a Packaging Development Manager who can drive the evolution of packaging within the business.
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you’ll be pivotal in delivering innovative packaging ideas from concept to launch through managing the critical path. You will keep up with the latest developments in this fast paced industry, following market trends to identify customer and consumer needs. You’ll build solid relationships with high profile customers regarding new packaging materials, concepts and technologies to guarantee that the company’s products retain their reputation for high quality whilst pushing packaging solution boundaries.
You’ll also actively seek out solutions to environmental requirements to ensure all packaging is in line with current legislation and of the highest standard. As well as liaising with suppliers to obtain materials that are cost effective you’ll be highlighting any quality issues. In addition you’ll be attending print and production runs, reviewing newly developed packaging concepts to ensure that the best levels of product performance are achieved.
We are looking for a highly creative and innovative Packaging Development Manager who has experience of working in a similar creative packaging role within food manufacturing. You’ll have a strong understanding of the packaging industry and technologies along with knowledge of project management and consumer research techniques.
You’ll need to have excellent organisation, communication and prioritisation skills in order to effectively manage multiple projects, a keen eye for detail, problem solving abilities coupled with a flair for commercial creativity.
