The job

We are looking for a bright, articulate and ambitious individual to join a successful and highly driven commercial team. You will be responsible for account management of mainstream accounts (60%) plus business development (40%) through infiltration of new territories. You will develop and maintain business to achieve profitable sales growth targets, strategically develop key account customers, develop and implement promotional plans to meet financial and sales goals, develop and implement trading terms, track, monitor & evaluate sales trends, monitor competitive products, carrying out benchmarking and gap analysis plus recommend new products by evaluating product results.

Your experience

To be considered for the Account Manager role, you will possess at least one year B2B sales / account management or similar commercial experience within food manufacturing, preferably working directly with and selling into manufacturing clients. A technical understanding of food flavours is highly advantageous. You will have a good track record of delivering sales growth plus possess excellent project management and account management skills. A full UK driving licence is essential.

The Account Manager job is based in the South West region, you will be based in the company office one day per week and on the road visiting clients the other 4. The role is paying up to £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus company car and commission.
