The company

Independently owned and established for almost 40 years, the business has developed from a small successful sales operation into a major importer and manufacturer of chilled products, supplying a large cross section of customers in the retail, wholesale, catering and food service industries.

The job

Your role as Technical Manager is to control, communicate and monitor all food safety legality and quality aspects of the company’s performance, setting standards which surpass the needs and wants of the customers. You will manage quality assurance systems and procedures, monitoring adherence to set standards, ensure that all aspects of HACCP are in place and that all technical needs and wants are fully satisfied, ensure audits both customer and third party are fully prepared for and any follow up actions are achieved within the required timescale.

Your experience

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong quality/technical background within the food manufacturing industry. You will also be fully conversant with BRC V7 and product experience within high risk, cooked meats is essential. A food related degree / HND or equivalent is highly desirable. This role would suit an existing Quality / Technical Manager looking for a step up from a smaller company or perhaps someone looking for a better work/life balance.

The nitty gritty

The Technical Manager job is based in the North West region and is paying £35,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.
