Quality Supervisor / Quality Compliance Lead
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and successful award-winning supplier of chilled products within a Quality Supervisor position. The role will report directly to the Site Quality Manager and will offer you a high degree of autonomy with particular emphasis on managing internal audits and verifying that manufacturing complies with company technical standards.  
We are seeking an individual who will take ownership of the quality function on a day to day basis within the factory as fundamental to the role will be the ability to act on non-compliances and work with other departments to provide solutions.  In addition you will be active in coaching factory staff in awareness and adherence to technical standards.

The role will involve:

  • Product Evaluation panels and instigating and follow up of corrective actions
  • Microbiological testing schedule, swabbing and sampling
  • Trending of microbiological and product evaluation results. 
  • Managing pest control contract and non conformances
  • Complete and ensure all internal audits are completed to the timescale given.
  • Management of on site calibration
  • Ensuring all documentation regarding non-conformances is accurate and up to date, applying any corrective actions to drive continuous improvements for products and quality management systems.
  • Auditing of the factory, processes, products and records to verify the business is operating to agreed standards and procedures.
  • Customer code of practice gap analysis
  • Update of Risk Assessments
  • Proactivity around tackling any issues by agreeing an action plan and taking this forward and following through.
  • Create and provide accurate and detailed reports.
  • Coaching factory staff in awareness and adherence to technical standards.

Experience Required

You will ideally have experience of operating in a QA supervisory role within the food industry.

A working knowledge of BRC and HACCP is essential.

Internal auditing experience

A Proactive approach  - A willingness to show initiative and solve problems

The role is paying between £20-22000 dependent upon individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are days, Monday to Friday.
