Greencore Grocery Hull is a major producer of Celebration Cakes, Chilled Hot-Eat Desserts, Cheesecakes and the UK market leader in the supply of Christmas Cakes. It operates out of one of Europe's leading cakes and desserts facilities in Hull.

The Role

To be committed to the effective and efficient running of production line. To achieve set quality, bill of materials and labour standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment exists for employees and that the department meets the standards set out in the SHE policy
  • Ensure the highest quality and food safety standards are embedded throughout the factory production line (GMP) and maintain our great safe food culture
  • Use Short Interval Control (SIC) to measure agreed KPI's
  • Ensure that targets for production are met within set parameters
  • Ensure effective communication of issues and line position
  • Ensure that food safety standards/legislation/guidelines and company policies are adhered to
  • Ensure a safe working environment (Line start ups , PPE & processes)
  • Exemplary time keeping and attendance - must set an example
  • Team working & effective communication
  • Operate and understand the safe operation of all machinery
  • Maintain BOM standards, labour and materials
  • Accurately complete all paperwork on time
  • Follow GMP & 5s principles
  • Produce product to specification
  • Escalation of issues (plan attainment/waste/downtime) to next levels
  • Full involvement and ownership of line trials
