Project Engineer - £D.O.E

The overall responsibility of this role will be to identify any reliability issues and work on continuous process of plant and equipment. The workload will incorporate maintenance improvement and replacement projects along with CAPEX projects across efficiency, legislation and quality. This position is responsible for the management of projects and ensuring all project deliverables / Milestones are met and successfully delivered on time and within budget.

Responsible for:

·Detailed engineering of parts of facilities and equipment.
·Defining equipment specifications (User Requirement Specs)
·Management of budget preparation, CAPEX preparation and tendering process.
·Management of the installation process (PTW, Audits, Standards, Specifications)
·Validation of Equipment
·Supervising Contractors
·The Project Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager onsite
·Project Reporting
·Ownership of project activities in terms of deliverables also including quality and H&S

The Person
The ideal Project Engineer will have proven project engineering or process engineering experience, preferably within the process industry and have good mechanical knowledge.
The successful candidate will be a professional, commercially minded individual who is comfortable working as part of a small team and who can also work individually and with initiative. There is a need for a flexible, pragmatic, hands-on approach to workload.

Essential Experience / Skills:
·Degree within an engineering discipline is essential
·Experience of looking after projects
·The Project Engineer needs to be able to liaise with various departments such as electrical, mechanical, H&S, production and supply chain
·Experience working with process machinery
·Exceptional problem solving skills
·Skilled in all aspects of MS Office and ideally SAP
·Good communication skills
·Health, safety and environmental understanding
·Report writing
·Good command of the English language (written and spoken).

The role is Mon-Fri 08:00 to 17:00 with 25 days holiday plus bank hols. They also offer pension and medical insurance, the latter after a qualifying period.
