A leading FMCG manufacturer is currently seeking an Operations Manager / Manufacturing Manager or Senior Production Manager to join their team and to own and manage the operations and distribution departments. You will need to monitor, interrogate and analyse all information relating to performance, budget and yield ensuring cost saving plans are developed from the results whilst driving high standards throughout the manufacturing department and ensure “audit ready” status at all times.

You will be an experienced Food or Drinks Manufacturing Operations Manager / Head of Operations or Senior Production Manager used to working within a high paced, manufacturing facility to GMP standards with previous experience of working as part of a senior management team, managing a large production team (including management of multi-million pound budgets) and has a proven and demonstrable track record in CI and Lean Manufacturing.

Manufacturing Operations Manager responsibilities include:

Supports the Site Leader in the development of operating goals and objectives for the unit; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations.
To be an enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated and pro-active team manager, committed to successfully achieving the goals and objectives of self, the Team and the Company.
To achieve significant and sustainable improvement in capability/standards across the balanced scorecard of objectives through defining the standards, implementing systems / equipment improvements and changing cultures and behaviours of all.
Understands and manages the strategic and financial needs and goals of the business with full accountability for the management of agreed accounts and capital expenditure.
Ensure the plant utilisation is protected through continuous awareness of the sales forecasting and planning functions. Challenge the Master Production Schedule against the established planning rules.
Maintains a high level of service to internal and external customers, developing a positive attitude towards others in the team and across the business.
Ensure effective and relevant information is communicated to colleagues to eliminate misunderstandings and ensure good working relationships are maintained.
Willing and prepared to support and help fellow Team members, prepared to accept and adopt new challenges and changes in plan. Avoid conflict and build effective working relationships with others.
