The Future of Meat - protein enriched meal solutions.
The global market for foods with meat protein powder ingredients is already today more than a €150 billion business in total sales, the scientific evidence for the health benefits of meat based proteins is increasing, and there are substantial sustainability rewards in the potential of using high quality proteins from meat production in other food applications. And these potentials are growing rapidly too, particularly due to an aging population in Europe and the US and the increasing consumer awareness regarding the health benefits of a protein enriched diet. DC Ingredients would like to take a strategic approach to the potential of creating of a portfolio of nutritious foods with meat protein powder ingredients that are outside the ordinary meat categories, targeted at the geriatric population aged 65+ years with a range of innovative concepts. The modern lifestyle means that everywhere in the world, consumers are looking for better quality and nutritious meals with a strong focus on health, sustainability, value for money and taste.
DC Ingredients has the ability, raw material base and knowledge to develop new and reinvent existing concepts, applications and products for the global food industry that are of superior quality, taste and texture than many of its Global competitors, and there is a big potential to increase branding on health, CSR and sustainability. This will create new market opportunities for DC Ingredients in new channels and markets, where foods with meat protein powder ingredients basically are not present in the average consumer mindset today.

Here, equal professionals meet to share their expert approach to their products, their companies and their ambitions to cooperate to develop the best products in the world.
Food Tech Challenge is an international open innovation competition during FoodTech 2016 - sponsored by Damstahl and will be held 1 -3 November at MCH Messecenter Herning. We are now recruiting 50 specially selected students for the Challenge to participate and compete in 10 different teams with specific, real life cases through a professionally facilitated innovation process at the FoodTech fair. The purpose of Food Tech Challenge 2016 is to bring business and knowledge environments together in a new framework and to show examples of concept and product development applying a new business model developed by Aarhus University. All exhibitors and resources at the fair will be involved, and students have the opportunity to seek them out and draw on relevant expertise and network.
