Sales Manager - Bedfordshire - To 60K
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, sales, and new business. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and an excellent communicator with strong time management skills. They will need to be assertive and results orientated. The role will see you overseeing the sales of food packaging products to business and industrial establishments
This role will involve travel throughout your territory and involve some overnight stays.
Job Requirements include:
·Successful sales track record.
·Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and experience with CRM.
·Must possess a valid driver's license and UK passport. Must be able to travel a minimum of 25% of the time, including overnight/weekend travel.
·Cook Chill experience preferred
Key duties include:
·Source prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from trade publications, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
·Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers in person or by phone.
·Participate and present Sales Meetings, Displays or Demonstrations and emphasises USP's.
·Creates pricing for customers and prepares quotes for customers
·Evaluate market trends and suggest new applications.
·Responsible for yearly sales forecast, profit and loss.
·Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion, cold call activity.
·Proactively drive new strategic alliances and new product ranges to enhance the company product portfolio.
·Develop and sustain global customer relationships; understand and supply customer's requirements to their satisfaction without compromising the company profits.
·Coordinate the sales operations with both the US and UK departments of the company.
·Line manage, analyse and establish KPI's for employee(s) and monitor if the employee(s) are able to meet, sustain or exceed the expectations or not.
·Continuously motivate colleagues and inspire them to stay focused on the company's goals.
·A remuneration package will be offered reflecting the candidate's experience and knowledge which will include commission.
