To carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modification or upgrade to plant and services in order to minimize downtime and maintain the equipment in the best possible condition.
To strive towards continuous improvement of all machinery and equipment in order to effectively reduce engineering downtime, thereby maintaining plant availability, efficiency, productivity and product quality at all times.
To carry out all engineering work to required GMP standards
Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of plant, wrapping machines and site services
Planned maintenance (PM), modifications, installations and upgrades to plant machinery and site services.
Involvement in Projects work as and when required.
Upkeep and alteration of electrical and mechanical drawings as needed.
To undertake statutory checks as required.
Gas system maintenance including oven burner repair and set up.
Support and coach in all aspects of shared maintenance.
To work across mechanical and electrical trades as qualified/required.
To work as part of a team with operations to improve line performance, efficiency, quality and safety.
To improve site production processes and plant design to minimize downtime and improve safety and quality.
To undertake training and up-skilling programs as directed by business needs and to ensure skills are keep abreast of technological advancements
Engineering City and Guilds or ONC (E).
Multi skilled HNC (D)
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering ( Electrical or Mechanical )
Experience as a skilled engineering craftsperson or technician within engineering function
Skills / Knowledge
Ability to solve problems using a logical thought process and implement solutions to prevent
Ability to work consistently to high standards and prioritize tasks accordingly to workload.
The ability to work as part of a multi faceted team or independently as the situation demands.
Strong communication skills.
Must be able to demonstrate a flexible skill set fully exploiting cross or multi skill elements of training
