Maintenance Department Electrical Engineer - Milton Keynes - Starting Salary To £43,000

Key Skills: PLC Modification (basic), Allen Bradley, Siemens, AC and DC Drives, HNC, NVQ or City & Guilds Electrical Qualification, Manufacturing background, reliability, maintenance

Fault finding and maintenance on;
·Production machines and their control systems, modifying variable speed drives etc
·PLC and computer control systems, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Texas and Omron
·Plant services and their control systems
·Installation work

-Experience of working in a high volume 24/7 continuous process heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
-Work a continental shift pattern including days and nights
-PLC experience including basic control design, troubleshooting, reading ladder logic. Preferably knowledge of Siemens TI505, Allen Bradley slc500/Contrologix
-Knowledge of using ACAD for electrical schematics would be an advantage
-Maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical/electronic control
-Conversant with electrical schematic drawings and diagrams.
-Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors and control systems
-Experience of working with AC motors, Inverters and control systems, single phase and three phase low and high voltage.
-Undertake small projects from initial design through to completion
-Working knowledge of machinery safety systems and safety related control systems including programmable safety controllers
-Knowledge in safety procedures (lockout/tagout), permit to work.

The role would suit candidates with experience of working within FMCG/Metal manufacturing line production processes. The contract is for a shift electrician but this sometimes involves working a day pattern to suit business requirements. The shift times are: 07:45 - 19:45, 19:45 - 07:45 both with a 15 minute handover period. If following days it: Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 16:15, Fri 08:00 - 15:45.

Salary & Benefits
Starting rate £42,768 (Pro Rata), then £45,154 rising when fully trained to £47,521. The holiday entitlement is 19 shifts or 28 days if following day hours. Pension you choose your contribution level of 3, 4 or 5% and the company pays in 5, 7 or 9%
