We are seeking a talented individual to join an international company who manufacture and supply their own internationally recognised branded products into major UK retailers. Throughout the years their products have shaped fascinating markets and continually delighted consumers through quality and innovation.
Working at a state of the art manufacturing facility, as Laboratory Technician, you will carry out a wide range of chemical, physical, sensory and rheological analyses on raw materials and finished products. Chemical analysis include fat by soxhlet method, total nitrogen by Kjeldahl method, dry matter, infrared and ash content. You will also review and control certificates of analysis from suppliers, maintain calibration and record keeping of relevant lab / factory equipment, physical inspections of raw materials and finished products including appearance, taste and texture plus collection and preparation of raw materials samples for the microbiological and chemical laboratories inputting data and results in the SAP QM system.
This role would suit a highly organised and self-motivated individual who is looking to join an innovative company and progress their career in the food science sector. You have minimum of GCSE’s in Math and Science and will ideally be a holder of a HNC in chemistry, hygiene or equivalent NVQ; previous laboratory experience is also highly desirable. You will possess a high level of accuracy and numeracy with the ability to interpret and evaluate results.
The Laboratory Technician job is based in the North West region and is paying a highly competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hour week) with flexi working available.
