This role is working for a well-established fresh produce supplier which has been founded for over 40 years. Part of a global group, the business is dedicated to providing the highest quality products to their customers which includes some of the major UK retailers.
Your role is to be responsible for the quality control of product at intake, ensuring product is to customer specification and ensuring that practices and procedures are being adhered to. You will inspect quality and record all raw material arrivals, provide the supply base and company management with accurate and informative quality reports, ensure product within operation is worked effectively and efficiently, ensure finished product standards of quality, packaging and presentation meet customer requirements plus ensure the QSL to the customer is kept at a satisfactory level and rejections are kept to a minimum.
We are seeking a confident individual who has previously held QA/QC experience from within a food production environment. You will have sound IT skills (intermediate in Excel and Word), ideally be educated to an A Level/degree standard in an agricultural discipline and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of quality control procedures. A full UK driving licence is essential and Spanish language would also be very beneficial.
The Quality Controller job is based in the East Anglia region and is paying a very competitive salary according to individual skills and previous experience.
