Responsibility for 2 Staff members and all factory machinery, including but not limited to:
- Services including steam and compressed air
- Refrigeration Plant
- Cooking Vessels
- Pie-production line
- Rotary Ovens
- Packing Lines
§ Building fabric
§ Spares stock holding
The maintenance budget will extend to the value of £7k pcm
To co-ordinate engineering resources to maximise equipment up-time whilst minimising costs
Take a leading role in ensuring and promoting the Health, Safety and Welfare of people
Be available and on-hand to respond to break downs in the factory
Ensure that reporting staff are competent, appropriately trained and qualified to carry-out their duties.
Monitor, review and manage staff performance
Ensure that any personnel-related issues are dealt with in-line with company policy, legislation and best practice
Schedule planned maintenance work in such a way to minimise the impact on manufacturing.
Utiilise wall-chart system to keep up to date with preventative maintenance.
Add new equipment to the PPM database.
Regularly review the frequency of planned maintenance to improve the balance between planned stoppages plus spares utilisation and unplanned downtime
The company is looking for a proactive man manager and has a food manufacturing background.
