We are a private family owned, Yorkshire business with our ‘roots’ firmly in the fresh produce trade. Our organisation is fast-paced, exciting, dynamic and due to rapid successful growth our organisation is seeking a new exciting addition to the Production Team, based at our Royds Farm Road Vegetable processing site in Beeston.

The Team

The Production Team are the biggest team on site. They are the epicentre to our operations.  They are a hardworking and friendly team. They are have a knack for ensuring products are on site, put into the right ‘fast lane’ for production processing and packing products to our customers.

If you are equally as tenacious, have a passion for food and have a high standard of work, then this is the team for you.  This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation who are pushing the boundaries of innovation in their sector.

The Role

In this role you’ll ensure team work is key when producing the best products for our customers. We intake vegetables, take customer requirements and process them through our vast and varied machinery. You will have experience in the foods industry, preferably in working with fresh food or processing. You will ideally have been a Team Leader or Despatch Supervisor previously in a food production environment.

You will ensure your team are trained sufficiently and competently to the business requirements, manage health and safety to a high standard and ensure food safety policies and procedures are adhered to. You will ensure paperwork is completed efficiently and competently and handed in at the end of each Production shift. You will also be responsible for reporting issues to the Engineering team in a timely manner to minimise disruption to Production schedules. You will ensure you emulate excellent team work, and work in accordance with our company values. As a Dispatch Supervisor, you will ensure you team work as effectively as possible unloading goods in from trailers and picking and loading orders for customers onto trailers.

You will monitor the quality of the produce that is produced and dispatched during your shift where only the best products are picked and loaded onto our fleet of vehicles for our customers, in line with their specifications. You will actively take part in management meetings and be an example for best practice and behaviour for lower graded positions to look up to. Your role will involve spotting talent from the shop floor and ensure these people are developed for the future of our business.

You will report into the Dispatch Manager / Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager and there is plenty of opportunity and scope to develop and move into other roles within the business.

You will have a sense of humour, be hard working and passionate about food. We are looking for someone who will be flexible to the business demands and offer competitive package and excellent training and development prospects tailored to your experience and development needs.
